Being British

A sneak-peak into the flag-dress I have finished making - modelled by my gorgeous girly Kitty. What I love about these photos is how the wind from the tube added an ethereal quality.

Sunny Days

For the past four years, my family and I have visited Marrakech. For some it is an enduring fantasy - a city of immense beauty and colour that remains compelling however many times you go there.

I stayed in the gorgeous Jnane Tamsna, a place of paradise, cut off from the palm grove by two enormous blue doors opening almost into a secret garden. It is the ultimate treat to the senses, from the rich smells of flower-lined courtyards to the organic cuisine and heated pools, all surrounded by an extraordinary garden.

Unfortunatley, it is a city of contrasts, where history and modernity, wealth and poverty come face-to-face. So every year, I bring suitcases of clothes and toys to give to the childen there. Giving those children those gifts is a priceless and humbling experience. It is really vital to see the many different cultures and this is why I urge anyone to visit a place such as Marrakech - not only for it's beauty and yummy spices, but to experience the poverty some people live in, which really make us appreciate the things that we have.

And to my surprise, in mid-March, I came across the new dreamy clip Longchamp released to promote the beautiful hippie-chic style of Kate Moss’ 70s-inspired collection, Faraway. The more and more I watched it, the more and more it became familiar. The picnics, the hammock, the pools and the sun – it could only have been set in one place, Marrakesh. I even noticed that part of it was shot on the roof of the bedroom I slept in when I stayed at Jnane Tamsna - I just love this feature of Kate Moss, so cool and free-spirited.

The floppy hats, denim shorts as well as the Longchamp bags themselves and the adventure are all the things I look forward to doing with my Summer this year – and so much more! I heart Marrakesh!
